What We Do
The Land Use division is comprised of several individual departments, Building, Health, Inland Wetlands and Planning and Zoning that often work in concert with each other on both residential and commercial construction projects. While each department oversees certain aspects of development throughout New Canaan, we as a team strive to provide guidance and technical support to residents, developers and business owners. The department is staffed with knowledgeable professionals that answer a variety of regulatory questions ranging from restaurant and salon licensing, septic and well inquiries to zoning, wetlands and construction and trade code compliance.
Our counter is open Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on Friday 7:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
