The New Canaan Recreation Department has announced they will offer a New Canaan Red Cross Chapter Babysitting Class beginning February 27. Young people ages 11-15 years old will gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to care for infants through school-aged children. You will learn the responsibilities of a babysitter, child development stages, basic child care skills, activities for children, first aid, safety issues and injury prevention. The 6 hour program will be divided into three consecutive Wednesday evenings from 6:15-8:15 p.m. held at the Waveny House February 27, March 5 and March 12. The fee for the program is $65 per person payable at the time of registration currently open at the Recreation Department Office. Contact the Recreation Department for more information. |
