The STAR (Skills Training and Recreation) Soccer Program will be open to boys and girls in second grade enrolled in the Spring 2008 Recreation Soccer program. This supplemental program will provide professional coaching to help boost player skills and aid in the understanding of the way the game is played. Participants will continue to attend their regular Recreation Soccer once-a-week team practice and game on Saturday afternoon. STAR Soccer participants will meet one day a week for five weeks in a one-hour session from 4:30-5:30 held on Tuesday afternoons for girls beginning April 29 or Wednesday afternoons for boys beginning April 30. Due to staff and fields availability, enrollment is limited on each session to 40 participants. Recreation Soccer coaches are invited to attend the clinics for free as observers and or helpers.
