The New Canaan Recreation Department made a special request to the North Pole and Santa will be making a special appearance for kids at Waveny House on Saturday, December 15.

A second year popular event, Karl Chevrolet/Hummer and The Bank of New Canaan will be the main sponsors of the event along with contributing sponsor The New Canaan Toy Store. A new exciting addition will include a collection for Toys for Tots, a national organization distributing toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the New Canaan community. Open to New Canaan residents ages 1-10, (a parent must be present) children will enjoy breakfast treats of apple juice and donuts before meeting with Santa. In addition, all children will have a picture taken with Santa and go home with a fun filled goodie bag. A free coffee/tea bar will be available for attending parents.

Separate group seating, open to New Canaan residents only, will be available at 8:00 or 10:00 a.m. and space is strictly limited to 60 children per seating. The admission per child accepted at the door can be either a shiny new unwrapped toy donation to Toys for Tots or $10 (cash only). Reservations may only be made by telephone 594-3600 or in person at the New Canaan Recreation Department through Thursday, December 13^th. Due to the popularity of the event, only pre-registered children will be admitted to the event.
