The New Canaan Recreation Department sponsors a Special Needs Program for New Canaan resident children to participate in instructional and recreational programs in and around the New Canaan community. The program is adult supervised by highly motivated special education certified specialists and aides, and addresses the needs of the children through physical exercise, social interaction and fun.
The program offers a variety of activities ranging from cookouts, ocean cruises, holiday parties, sport activities, arts and crafts, and field trips to rinks, bowling alleys, museums and area parks.
