The Recreation Department sponsors a large spring Soccer Program for boys in kindergarten through fourth grades and girls in kindergarten through sixth grade. The program is held on Saturday afternoons at Waveny Park from mid-April through early June. Children are assigned to a team with volunteer coaches, practice once a week, and play league games on Saturdays. The program is in need of volunteer coaches and assistant coaches. Prior experience is helpful but not necessary. Anyone interested in coaching or assisting can sign-up at the time of registration or call the Recreation Department. A mandatory meeting for coaches and assistant coaches is held prior to the start of each program. All registered children will be contacted by their coaches after this meeting and games will begin shortly after.

Referee Clinic: Thursday, April 3rd, 5:30 pm. , Waveny Fields, or, if raining, inside Waveny House

Shirts and Schedules Pick-up: Tuesday, April 8th, 12:00 p.m. , Recreation Office

League Begins: Saturday, April 19

No Games: May 24

Awards Pick-up: Tuesday, May 27, Recreation Office (coaches only)

League Ends: Saturday, June 7
